  • Working Groups

REEF actively contributes to various groups working to shape refrigerant and HVAC decarbonization policy.

Department of Energy Heat Pump Accelerator

This program aims to accelerate market adoption of heat-pumps, which are highly efficient and trending toward applications using low or ultra-low global warming potential refrigerants.

Northeast States for Coordinated Air Use Management

This coalition of state air agencies promotes regional cooperation and action by its member states in support of effective programs to reduce the adverse public health and environmental impacts of air pollution and climate change.

Ultra Low Global Warming Potential (ULGWP) Working Group

Through this program, the Department of Energy evaluates effective research projects that will lead to ULGWP systems and practices for end-users.

    SPLC Procurement Climate Collaborative

This program combines procurement expertise, technical guidance, implementation practices, and peer learning to develop effective procurement strategies in categories with readily available lower-emission solutions, including refrigerants.
