✅ Our 5 Principles:

1. Buy Low-GWP by Default

We commit to purchasing equipment with ultra-low-GWP (<10) or non-synthetic refrigerants whenever feasible. When not available, we select the lowest-GWP alternative aligned with our operational needs.

2. Manage What We Own

We will implement full-lifecycle refrigerant tracking—from installation through leak prevention and end-of-life disposal. Our end-of-life processes will prioritize recovery, reclaim, or destruction through certified partners.

3. Send Demand Signals

We will communicate clear refrigerant expectations in RFPs and purchasing agreements. Preference will be given to vendors who offer reclaimed refrigerants, refrigerant tracking, or consider whole life carbon and provide EPDs.

4. Build and Train the Workforce We Need

We will support technician training on safe installation and maintenance of low- and ultra-low-GWP systems and promote contractor compliance with evolving regulations.

5. Advocate with Us

We will use our voice to support fair, bipartisan policies that accelerate refrigerant innovation and ensure a just and affordable transition for all communities.
