Board of Directors
We're volunteers with backgrounds in refrigerants, energy management, and corporate sustainability. We're organizing REEF because we believe corporate buyers can drive much-needed action on refrigerants.
Tristam Coffin
is a Co-Founder and President at êffecterra, inc. a Public Benefit Corporation that provides sustainability technical support to companies, investors, government entities and their partners. Prior to êffecterra, he spent the majority of his career implementing sustainability and environmental initiatives as Director of Sustainability & Facilities for Whole Foods Market. He is a LEED AP and sustainability leader with expertise in multiple areas including high performance buildings, advanced refrigeration/HVAC systems, renewable energy, and waste diversion. He also co-founded the North American Sustainable Refrigeration Council (NASRC).
Kristen Taddonio
is a dedicated climate and energy efficiency professional specializing in reducing refrigerant emissions and helping people save money while protecting the planet. Her decades of experience span the public and private sector, including leading commercial building energy efficiency partnerships at the U.S. Department of Energy, heading sales and marketing for the Energy Star appliance program, reducing refrigerant emissions at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, serving as senior climate and energy advisor at the non-profit Institute for Governance & Sustainable Development, and consulting on Montreal Protocol Kigali Amendment HFC phasedown implementation in developing countries for the World Bank. She lives in Fraser, Colorado, in a net-zero energy house that won the 2020 Department of Energy Solar Decathlon build challenge competition. Kristen enjoys skiing, biking, and serving on boards of directors for organizations that serve good causes in her free time.
Aaron Daly
is Vice President of Strategic Development at Ecology Action, a non-profit organization scaling energy efficiency in the built environment. He is also an advisor and consultant to startups in the clean energy and building decarbonization space. In the past, Daly co-founded several non-profit organizations focused on sustainability, including Ratio Institute, which focuses on food retail sustainability, and The North American Sustainable Refrigeration Council (NASRC). Daly was Global Director of Energy Management for Whole Foods Market from 2013 to 2020.
Zoe Dawson
is a Managing Consultant at VEIC, a national not-for-profit focused on reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. VEIC administers state-wide energy efficiency programs and utility-led R&D pilots aimed at optimizing energy use, reducing energy burdens for low-income customers, and advancing emerging technologies. VEIC also provides consulting services to a wide variety of clients including states, federal agencies, national nonprofits, foundations, and private businesses. With nearly 20 years of leadership experience, Zoe supports clients in the industrial, institutional, and commercial sectors in achieving energy efficiency and sustainability goals.
Lisa Murray
is a leader with proven ability to dynamically build out, strengthen and execute sales, market and organizational strategies for world-class companies. She has over a decade of experience in the refrigeration industry focused on reducing energy and refrigerant use in commercial refrigeration systems, go-to-market planning and execution, and developing successful strategic partnerships. Lisa also has experience helping the solar industry in the Southeast develop momentum during her time at the early-stage non-profit Georgia Solar Energy Association. In addition to her work with REEF, Lisa is an active consultant helping small- to medium-sized businesses with growth strategies.
